For Wiccans: Is it wrong to cast a spell to help my husband quit smoking?

My husband is deployed overseas and has talked about going to smokers cessation classes. He has done this before as well as tried a couple different ways to quit, but hasn’t had complete success. He wants to quit not only for himself, but for his family as well. I know it’s wrong to do something to impune someone’s freewill, but all I want is to try to help him. He has decided himself to quit smoking so I am not trying to force him to do something he doesn’t want to do. Any thoughts?
Pagan Dan: Thank you so much for your opinion. I admire someone who can see people the way you do and I have great respect for you as a Christian as well.

Fuzzy Peach: I disagree with your answer in that it is most definitely not an issue of trust. We have been through a lot and trust problems are a non-issue with us. Also, I believe that communing with nature is only one aspect of Wicca and others would probably agree. I do honestly respect your right to you opinion and am not trying to attack it. Thank you for your input.
Ms. Tell It: Below is the link to an article on The Witches’ Voice website written by a very intelligent pagan woman in 1997. It is a thoughtful and well-written article giving advice to Christians who want to spread the gospel to Pagans. I think you would find it an interesting read and I hope it better informs your opinion with regards to returning Pagans to Christ. I appreciate your input and hope you appreciate mine as well. https://www. witchvox. com/va/dt_va. html?a=usxx&c=words&id=1946

Could anyone tell me more about acupuncure involving. . . . ?

smoking cessation? I have heard of this process involving stapling the ear and leaving it in for however long you want to.

Why do you smoke?

Why is it so expensive to quit smoking?

I know, it’s not expensive to “simply" stop, but it’s not that simple and I’ve tried it that way many times. It just doesn’t work. I go to buy stop smoking aids, which are conveniently right next to the cigarettes in most stores. I see $50 for a cessation kit, and $4 for a pack of cigarettes, and usually end up leaving the store with Marlboros, vowing that once I get a whole lot more money and can afford $50 in one shot, I’ll buy it and finally quit. I wish they could make cessation methods progressive like cigarettes, like each dose costs $4 per day. I guess it’s a psychological thing because overall, I know I’d end up saving money when I quit, but I can’t help but think what if it doesn’t work and I still need to buy cigarettes? Then I’ve wasted all that money when just $4 would have been a sure thing. Anyone else feel this way? Has anyone found a way around it or have you just gone for the expense and quit? Thanks for reading. I know it was long.
